Days 1-3

Mkulumadzi Camp | Majete Wildlife Reserve (2 Nights)

Big Five Beginnings

Arrive at Chileka International Airport, where you are met and transferred by road to Majete Wildlife Reserve. A scenic journey brings you to Mkulumadzi Lodge, set at the confluence of two rivers within this outstanding conservation success story.

Over the next two days, enjoy a well-rounded safari experience in Malawi’s only Big Five reserve. Morning and afternoon game drives, as well as optional guided bush walks, offer excellent opportunities to encounter elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard. Between activities, unwind at the lodge, relax by the pool or enjoy open-air dining beneath the stars.

Days 3-5

Huntingdon House | Satemwa Tea Estate (2 Nights)

Estate Living & Timeless Charm

After breakfast, depart Majete and travel through the scenic southern highlands to Satemwa Tea Estate. Check in at Huntingdon House, a beautifully restored colonial residence offering refined comfort and personalised service.

Your stay here is centred on relaxation and discovery. Enjoy guided tea and coffee tastings, estate walks, mountain biking or birdwatching. The tranquil setting and elegant surroundings create a peaceful and immersive experience, complemented by exceptional cuisine and private dining.

Days 5-7

Kefi Hotel Café | Zomba Plateau (2 Nights)

Highland Retreat & Exploration

Continue north to Zomba, Malawi’s former colonial capital. On arrival, check in at the boutique Kefi Hotel Café, set in a peaceful forested environment at the base of the Zomba Plateau.

Spend your time exploring this scenic region with guided walks, birdwatching or visits to local markets and historic sites. The cool mountain air and panoramic views offer a refreshing contrast to the lowlands, while evenings are relaxed with excellent cuisine and warm hospitality.

Days 7-9

Mvuu Lodge | Liwonde National Park (2 Nights)

River Safaris & Wildlife Encounters

After breakfast, travel to Liwonde National Park, one of Malawi’s premier wildlife destinations. From the park entrance, a short transfer brings you to Mvuu Lodge, overlooking a quiet lagoon near the Shire River.

Over the next two days, enjoy a variety of safari activities including game drives, walking safaris and boat cruises. The riverine environment attracts elephant, hippo, crocodile and a remarkable diversity of birdlife. Between activities, relax on the lodge decks and take in the tranquil surroundings.

Days 9-11

Makokola Retreat | Lake Malawi (2 Nights)

Lakeside Relaxation

Depart Liwonde and travel to the southern shores of Lake Malawi. Check in at The Makokola Retreat,, a refined lakeside resort set among lush gardens and palm-fringed beaches.

Time here is intentionally unhurried. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, snorkelling among colourful cichlids, spa treatments or visits to nearby fishing villages. Sunset drinks and relaxed lakeside dining complete the experience.

Days 11-13

Tongole Wilderness Retreat | Nkhotakota Wildlife Resreve (2 Nights)

Untouched Wilderness

Continue to the remote Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve and check in at Tongole Wilderness Retreat. This pristine region offers a truly off-the-beaten-path safari experience.

Activities include walking safaris, canoeing along the Bua River, game drives and cultural interactions with nearby communities. The focus here is on conservation, tranquillity and authentic wilderness immersion.

Days 13-15

Chelinda Lodge | Nyika National Park (2 Nights)

Fly to Nyika National Park, Malawi’s largest and most scenic protected area. Stay at Chelinda Lodge, set in the heart of this rolling highland plateau.

Days 15-18

Kaya Mawa | Likoma Island (3 Nights)
