Ntchisi Forest is a beautiful and biodiverse forest reserve situated on the slopes of the Ntchisi Mountain, approximately 70 km northeast of Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe. It is one of the few remaining montane forests in the country and is known for its rich biodiversity, housing a wide range of plant and animal species. The forest is home to various kinds of mahogany, cedar, and fig trees, and wildlife, such as duikers, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. The forest offers excellent hiking opportunities, with trails leading to the summit of Ntchisi Mountain.
