Getting to Vilanculos

Vilanculos has its own international airport and is the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago. To get to Bazaruto Island, you can fly from the mainland, Vilanculos, to the islands using a commercial flight or private charter flight. You also have the option to take a helicopter operated by wildlife helicopter to the island which will cost you about $280 per seat.

Alternatively, you can opt for a boat transfer which takes approximately 45 – 60 minutes to reach the island, depending on the tides.
