The Crafted Foundation

At Crafted Africa, we believe the places that give us so much deserve something in return. The Crafted Africa Foundation was created to strengthen the connection between travel, conservation and community wellbeing.

After years of working across Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, we have seen how responsible tourism can protect wildlife, restore ecosystems and create opportunities for the communities who call these places home.

Working alongside trusted local partners, we support community-led conservation and development initiatives that protect wildlife, restore habitats, improve livelihoods and create lasting, measurable impact for generations to come.

To connect responsible tourism with meaningful conservation and community impact by funding environmental stewardship initiatives in the destinations where tourism takes place.

OUR FOCUS AREAS

Marine Protection

Building circular, low-waste tourism destinations by preventing waste from reaching our rivers, lakes and Ocean.

Wildlife Conservation

Protecting threatened wildlife and their natural habitats by supporting conservation work in the tourism destinations where they live. We work with trusted conservation partners to keep conservation efforts going.

Reforestation

Restoring degraded land through tree planting and natural regeneration that rebuilds ecosystems and strengthens community stewardship.

Community Development

Supporting community wellbeing through access to essential resources, safe water and sanitation, working alongside local partners to meet community needs.
