The Itinerary

Days 1-4

Mvuu Camp | Liwonde National Park (3 Nights)

Where the River Draws the Wild

Arrive in Lilongwe and connect by light aircraft charter to Liwonde National Park.

From the airstrip, a short transfer brings you to Mvuu Camp, set along the banks of the Shire River.

Your time in Liwonde focuses on a well-rounded safari experience. Guided game drives, walking safaris and boat excursions provide excellent wildlife viewing, with elephant, hippo and plains game commonly seen along the river.

Evenings are spent relaxing at camp, enjoying open-air dining and the natural atmosphere of the park.

Days 4-8

Pure Likoma | Likoma Island, Lake Malawi (4 Nights)

A Relaxed Island Escape

After breakfast, depart Liwonde by light aircraft to Likoma Island.

On arrival, a short transfer brings you to Pure Likoma, a relaxed island hideaway set directly on the shores of Lake Malawi.

Time here is intentionally unhurried. Spend your days swimming in crystal-clear waters, kayaking along the shoreline, snorkelling nearby islands or simply relaxing in a hammock with lake views.

Sunset drinks, beachside dining and warm island hospitality define the evenings, creating a sense of ease and connection that makes it hard to leave.

Day 8 | Departure

Farewell to the Lake

After breakfast, transfer to Likoma Airstrip for your light aircraft charter back to Lilongwe, departing with memories shaped by river safaris, island living and Malawi’s unmistakable sense of warmth and space.
