Just over 80km south-east of Lilongwe lies a town standing majestically at 1600m above sea level. For many reasons Dedza is a town of interest with rolling grasslands scattered with mountain ranges and isolated rock formations to create beautiful scenery. There are many areas of interest to visit in Dedza ranging from the beautiful forest reserves, historical and cultural sites. Visit Dedza Pottery and watch craftsmen at the workshop and factory crafting different items such as mugs, dinner services all decorated with coloured designs. The nearby Chongoni Rock Art is a World UNESCO site and showcases old time rock paintings dating back to The Stone Age.
