Days 1-4

Thawale Tented Camp | Majete Wildlife Reserve (3 Nights)

Into Malawi’s Wild South

Arrive in southern Malawi through The Chileka International Airport and begin your journey in Majete Wildlife Reserve. one of the country’s most remarkable conservation success stories and home to the Big Five. Settle into Thawale Tented Camp, a relaxed bush retreat overlooking a lively waterhole where wildlife is often seen gathering throughout the day.

Over the next three nights, enjoy immersive safari experiences through guided game drives and bush walks led by expert rangers. Majete’s diverse landscapes and thriving wildlife populations provide exceptional opportunities to encounter elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard, alongside a variety of plains game and birdlife. Between activities, unwind at camp and soak in the sights and sounds of the African bush.

Days 4-7

Mvuu Camp | Liwonde National Park (3 Nights)

Rivers, Wildlife & Safari Adventure

After breakfast, travel north to Liwonde National Park, one of Malawi’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, check in at Mvuu Camp, ideally positioned along the banks of the Shire River in a scenic and wildlife-rich setting.

Spend the next three nights exploring this beautiful reserve through a combination of game drives, guided bush walks and river safaris. Liwonde’s waterways and floodplains support large populations of elephant, hippo, crocodile, antelope and prolific birdlife, making every outing varied and rewarding. Evenings are spent back at camp enjoying the peaceful riverside atmosphere beneath star-filled skies.

Transfers & Flights: A seamless road transfer by a Crafted Africa guide from Majete Wildlife Reserve to Liwonde National Park through Charlie Charlie mainland, followed by a 20 minute boat transfer into Mvuu Camp.

Days 7-9

Villa Sands | Ilha de Moçambique (2 Nights)

Island Heritage & Coastal Discovery

Villa Sands is a boutique gem on the western beach of Mozambique Island (Ilha de Moçambique). As a UNESCO World Heritage site, the island offers a vibrant blend of African, Arab, and European influences. Enjoy freshly caught langouste lobsters, prawns, and fish prepared in a variety of ways, or have a drink at the sunset terrace bar in front of the ocean.

Enjoy the freedom of the ocean by taking trips on the hotel’s boat. Visit nearby islands with coral beaches or swim in the crystal-clear waters of the mangroves. you can also take trips with our partners who offer boat trips, kayaking, snorkeling, whale watching, and bicycle tours.

Transfers & Flights: Boat transfer from Mvuu Camp back to Charlie Charlie mainland followed by a road transfer to Lilongwe Int. Airport (LLW). Depart on a scheduled flight to Nampula (APL), with a final private transfer into Ilha de Moçambique for your stay at Villa Sands.

Days 9-11

Coral Lodge | Ilha de Moçambique (2 Nights)

Lagoon Serenity & Coastal Escape

A short boat ride brings you to the exclusive Coral Lodge. Set on a peninsula where the Indian Ocean meets a winding lagoon, this eco-lodge offers a sophisticated escape. The Lagoon Villas provide a mix of beach and forest views, focusing on the “Coral Lodge family” hospitality and fresh, locally sourced Mozambican cuisine. Nestled in a peaceful and secluded location, the lodge offers a serene environment to relax and reconnect with nature.
