The Itinerary

Days 1-5

Sungani Lodge | South Luangwa National Park (4 Nights)

Remote Wilderness & Elevated Luxury

Your journey begins with Sungani Lodge which is positioned in one of the most exclusive and least congested sectors of South Luangwa. The lodge has been developed with a strong emphasis on spatial privacy, elevated architecture, and low-impact integration into the surrounding wilderness. Elevated walkways, lagoon-facing decks, and open-plan communal spaces create a fluid connection between guest experience and environment. The lodge operates with a high-touch guiding philosophy, ensuring curated wildlife engagement across multiple activity formats.

Safari activities are anchored in one of Africa’s most reliable big game regions. Game drives, walking safaris, photographic hides, and seasonal bush dining experiences are delivered by experienced guiding teams with deep local knowledge. The surrounding ecosystem is known for consistent sightings of elephant, lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile, and a strong diversity of plains game.

Transfers & Flights: Flight from Lusaka Airport (LUN) to Mfuwe Airport (MFU), followed by meet-and-greet assistance and a lodge transfer into South Luangwa National Park onto Sungani Lodge.

Days 5-9

Kaya Mawa | Likoma Island (4 Nights)

Island Heritage & Lakeside Bliss

The trip transition into a complete environmental reset, from structured safari terrain to open lake horizons and white sand shoreline ecosystems. Kaya Mawa is positioned on the western shoreline of Likoma Island and is widely regarded as one of Lake Malawi’s flagship boutique properties.

The lodge has been architected into natural rock formations and lakeside contours, creating a fully integrated beachfront environment with strong design identity and operational maturity. Interiors are built around natural materials, open layouts, and direct engagement with the lakefront environment.

Water-based experiences include kayaking, snorkelling, sailing, paddleboarding, and diving, with optional high-adrenaline offerings available on request. Wellness, dining, and sunset positioning further reinforce the island’s slow-luxury positioning.

Transfers & Flights: Flight from Mfuwe Airport (MFU) to Likoma Airstrip (LIX) via Kamuzu Int. Airport – Lilongwe, followed by a short 15 Minute road transfer into Kaya Mawa.

Day 9 | Departure
