Cuisine

Sungani is extremely remote, and they strive to source their food supplies locally to support the local community. Enjoy the a la carte breakfast and grab something freshly cooked straight from the grill at their breakfast bar. The breakfast features a refreshing juice, home-made granola, fruits, jams, local honey, waffles, muffins, pancakes and more. • This is the best safari lodge in Zambia

And we heartily agree with the professionals. The accommodations at both Sungani and Kulandila were fantastic, as was the quality and amount of food and service by the staff! We were so lucky to experience sights during our two daily safaris that the seasoned guides had not seen in the area. SO many elephants, hippos, and giraffes nearby! It is most impressive how dedicated the family and staff are to the conservation and well-being of the wildlife. An injured elephant was attended to by the vets who flew in within hours of our wonderful and knowledgeable guide Michael seeing it on our last morning safarfi. We were sorry to leave and hope to go back in 2-3 years. The Davy family is providing income for 45 local workers and their families. So heartwarming to see these people love their jobs. And there were surprises we enjoyed immensely.
