Leroo La Tau blends elevated luxury with untamed wilderness. Featuring twelve spacious suites with glass fronts and thatched roofs, each room is positioned above the Boteti River on raised wooden decks. From these private hideaways, guests are treated to unobstructed views of wildlife below—zebras migrating in herds, elephants at the water’s edge, and predators on the move. This is safari living, front and center.

Strategically perched along the Boteti River, the lodge enjoys an exclusive vantage point in one of Botswana’s most dynamic ecosystems. Situated along the western boundary of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the area teems with life, especially during the dry season when animals gather at the river. From sunrise to dusk and deep into the night this riverside location promises an ever-changing wildlife spectacle.

Guests can embark on expertly guided game drives through the park, with frequent sightings of lion, wildebeest, leopard, cheetah, and more. Water levels permitting, scenic boat rides offer a new perspective of the landscape. Cultural visits to nearby Khumaga Village and full-day excursions to Nxai Pan or Baines Baobabs are available for longer stays. For the truly adventurous, sleeping under the stars on the salt pans offers a rare kind of stillness and wonder.

At the heart of the lodge, a welcoming lounge and dining space invites guests to relax with a drink at the bar or curl up with a book while listening to the calls of the wild after dark. The swimming pool offers a refreshing break from the midday heat, while the riverbank hide provides a peaceful perch for watching the world drift by. Every detail is designed to help guests feel at home while surrounded by nature’s raw beauty.
