Chiawa Camp | Lower Zambezi (3 Nights)

The journey begins in the Lower Zambezi National Park, one of Africa’s most pristine river-based wilderness areas, where the Zambezi River defines both the landscape and the safari rhythm.

Chiawa Camp is an award-winning pioneer camp set directly on the banks of the Zambezi River. The camp delivers a refined yet authentic bush experience, combining classic safari design with a prime wildlife location. Guest tents are positioned for privacy and direct immersion in the surrounding wilderness.

Accommodation is in elevated safari tents with en-suite facilities, designed to integrate comfort with an unfiltered connection to the river environment. The main area features a lounge, dining space, and viewing deck positioned for uninterrupted sunset perspectives over the Zambezi.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris, river cruises, canoeing, catch-and-release fishing, birding, and seasonal bush dining. Wildlife encounters regularly include elephant, hippo, crocodile, lion, and leopard.

Transfers & Flights: Scheduled flight from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) to Jeki Airstrip (JEKI), followed by road transfer to camp.

Days 4 - 7

Old Mondoro | Lower Zambezi National Park (3 Nights)

Intimate Wilderness Immersion

The itinerary transitions deeper into the Lower Zambezi ecosystem, focusing on a more intimate and raw safari environment with minimal barriers between camp and wilderness.

Old Mondoro is a small-scale, high-integrity bush camp positioned in a prime wildlife corridor. The camp operates on a low-impact philosophy, delivering a highly exclusive and nature-driven safari experience.

Accommodation consists of open, natural-style chalets designed to maximise proximity to the river and surrounding habitats. The absence of fencing ensures consistent wildlife movement through the camp area.

Activities focus on guided game drives, walking safaris, river safaris, catch-and-release fishing, and seasonal sunset cruises. Wildlife density is high, with frequent sightings of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and large hippo populations.

Transfers: Road transfer between Chiawa Camp and Old Mondoro within the Lower Zambezi ecosystem.

Days 7 -10

Chindeni Bushcamp | South Luangwa National Park (3 Nights)

South Luangwa Wilderness Walking Safari

The journey shifts to South Luangwa National Park, widely regarded as one of Africa’s premier walking safari destinations, offering a completely different terrain and safari dynamic.

Chindeni Bushcamp is a premium tented bushcamp overlooking a permanent lagoon framed by the Chindeni Hills. The camp is positioned in a high-activity wildlife zone where hippo, elephant, and predator species are frequently observed.

Accommodation is in elevated canvas tents with private verandas overlooking the lagoon. The design prioritises space, privacy, and uninterrupted wildlife viewing from within the room.

Activities include walking safaris, game drives, night drives, and guided exploration of the surrounding wilderness. The area supports strong biodiversity, including leopard, lion, wild dog, and large herbivore populations.

Transfers & Flights: Flight from Jeki Airstrip (JEKI) via Mfuwe Airport (MFU), followed by road transfer to camp.
