Framed by Swaying coconut palms and bougainvillea, Zawadi Hotels is perched on top cliff with breath-taking views of the Indian Ocean. The receding cliff creates a pristine sandy beach providing guests with a short access to the beach from the hotel staircase leading directly to the sand. Zawadi Hotel is designed in an elegant laid-back style on one of the most beautiful locations in Zanzibar. The hotel has twelve private 100sq meter spacious en-suite villas directly overlooking the ocean. The villas have a seating area, huge double beds with luxurious memory foam mattresses, closet area, private plunge pool and large bathroom with walk-in shower, standing bathtub and double sink vanity.

Best place for recreation

Zawadi is a tranquil and great hideaway with personalized service and cuisine, with a relaxed atmosphere and understated elegant beach décor. This is a place where guests can enjoy the stunning views of the ocean from their bed and all public areas, as well as a place to enjoy snorkeling, nature and other activities. There is a jogging trail, terraced beaches with sunshades, selected spa massages and beach beds.

Great diving spot and activities

Zawadi Hotel is located at perfect point for diving and watersports. They have Rising Sun Dive Center PADI 5 star. Diving in the shallow lagoon is accessible directly from the beach. You can also use the tennis courts and all the facilities including kite surfing and sailing (available at a fee). Kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, and reef shoe rental (to allow snorkeling from the beach) are available free of charge at Zawadi for the guests to use.

Exotic cuisine

The fusion of cultures in Zanzibar has over the years created an exotic cuisine which blends local spices and flavours featuring the Island’s best produce. The colorful Zawadi Swahili menu features a great range of continental and a blend of the African, Indian and Arabic mouth-watering dishes. Relax at the casual Mswakini Bar and Restaurant to enjoy delicious meals or dine at the Drift Wood Dining Room and sample a selection of their award-winning delicacies.

  • Zanzibar’s Finest

    Before writing this I read a few of the previous reviews and to be honest there is not much more I can say. This resort is truly special. Private, tranquil, beautiful – a refuge from the world and a place where you can truly unwind.

    The max capacity is 24 guests so you never feel as though it is busy and personal attention by the staff is second to none.

    The villa’s are spacious and modern and I loved them because they feel so private.

    This is a 5 star luxury resort that feels like a home – can’t wait to return

  • Amazing service and incredible view and rooms

    Amazing hotel with a stunning view from the pool to the sea. The rooms are really refined and clear in style. The food is simply delicious and the staff really care, they make every demand possible. Ali from the staff is just so professional and will make all your wants possible. The staff, in general, are very kind and cheerful. A peaceful place for a perfect honeymoon stays for example.

  • Amazing Luxury

    We stayed for 3 nights at Zawadi Hotel and everything was just about perfect. The room was amazing – very large and clean and fresh. The room had a beautiful patio with a view over the Indian Ocean and lounge chairs from which to enjoy the view. The bathroom in the room was enormous and also very clean. The food was amazing and the service was excellent – friendly, professional, and helpful.
