Exceptional Location

Davison’s Camp occupies an enviable spot within the private Linkwasha Concession, one of the most productive wildlife areas in Hwange National Park. The camp’s location beneath a grove of false mopane trees ensures peace and seclusion, while offering front-row access to the spectacle of wildlife at the nearby waterhole. Guests can observe the comings and goings of elephants, buffalo, and a variety of plains game from the comfort of the camp. The natural beauty of the open African savannah surrounding the camp adds to the allure, creating the perfect setting for an immersive safari.

Unique Activities

Guests at Davison’s Camp can enjoy a variety of activities designed to offer a deeper connection with the wildlife and landscape of Hwange. Game drives and night drives in the private concession offer excellent opportunities to view elephants, buffalo, predators, and other wildlife in their natural habitats. For those looking to explore at a slower pace, guided walks allow for a closer look at the park’s smaller details, from the flora to the fascinating ecology. A visit to the local village offers an enriching cultural experience, providing insight into the lives of the local people and the work Wilderness Safaris does in the area.

Accommodation

Davison’s Camp features eight en-suite tents and one family unit, all offering expansive views of the waterhole. The tents are simple yet comfortable, with their own private patios where guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife. The camp’s main lounge and dining area are cozy and inviting, with traditional African décor adding to the atmosphere. • December at Davidsnon’s

“We had a fantastic time at Davidson’s Camp Dec 18-22. The camp itself is lovely. The main area is relaxing and has a fantastic water hole in front which was very active with elephants, zebra, and many others. The food was fantastic, and the camp staff were all wonderful. Camp management was first rate. We were traveling with children, and all the staff were great with kids. 4 nights was the right length of stay for us.”

  • The most amazing and beautiful place I have ever been!

“I believe there is no place of the world like Davison’s Camp, a Camp where you are able to see thousands of elephants right in front of the Camp, drinking and playing in the water, while being safe all the time. The Hwange is an extraordinary national park and our guide Thabo was so nice and informed about everything of the savana. We saw lions eating, breastfeeding, cheetas, hyenas, giraffas and many more animals.”

  • The most amazing experience!

“We had the most three magical days in Davison’s Camp. This place is special: the staff, the view and the food are all amazing! We have done different safaris in Africa, but this was definitely the best one. Our guide Thabo showed us the most magnificent scenes during the game drives and even in front of the camp you get to see different animals all day long. Michelle, Sunny, Maurice, Leroy and the rest of the staff are the kindest and most professional people! A special mention also to the chef who prepared amazing meals from the pancakes at breakfast to the grills at night.”
