Waterberry is a lovely family owned, and run, lodge near Victoria Falls. It is perfect for those with children as there is a fantastic pool and various board games in the lounge, pretty gardens and a private villa for larger families. It is far enough away from the Falls that you don’t hear the helicopters and microlights but close enough that you don’t have to travel far for activities. With only 7 comfortable rooms and one cottage, it is a cosy and affordable option.
“Because it’s a home from home on the Zambezi, with your own staff to attend to your every need, chefs in the kitchen to feed you whenever you want, one of the best infinity pools on the river where you can sit sipping a gin and tonic watching the elephants having a drink on the other side of the water. Perfectly planned itineraries to make sure you get the best experience from the wonderful Victoria Falls”

Waterberry love having kids to stay, from the swing in the yard to the pool to the family
friendly rooms, crayons, board games etc. they are setup to take children. Do note there is no restriction to the river so very young ones will need to be supervised at all times.
Children of all ages are welcomed, with plenty of activities in and around Livingstone it is a great place to take the whole family. There is also a private farmhouse for those with large or multigenerational groups, which has its own private staff.
At Waterberry, two in house activities are included each day from a visit to the Victoria Falls (non guided), sunset and daytime cruises, fishing, island picnics, guided birding walks, guided village walks, and also a guided tour of the town and local markets. If there is anything else you wish to do the lodge can easily arrange this for you. It becomes extremely good value when you add in all these activities as well as meals and local drinks. It is the perfect place to relax at the Falls, taking activities at your leisure at the start or end of your trip.
Waterberry is based on the river but further upstream, although you can’t see the falls there are plenty of wildlife and the gentle meander of the river to enjoy. From birds to hippos to the ever-shy bushbuck there is plenty to see in the area. It is a very comfortable lodge with excellent service and you are made to feel right at home the moment you step through the door.
