Sea Star Rocks is a luxury boutique hotel in Camps Bay, Cape Town, set above one of the city’s most scenic coastal neighbourhoods. The property combines contemporary comfort, warm hospitality and sweeping views over the Atlantic Ocean, Camps Bay, Lion’s Head and the surrounding mountain landscape.

Accommodation is arranged across beautifully designed rooms and suites, including the Pool Room, Sea Star Rocks Suite, Private Pool Suite and Penthouse. With spacious terraces, stylish interiors and easy access to Cape Town’s beaches, restaurants and landmarks, it works well as a relaxed city stay before or after safari.

We love Sea Star Rocks for its elevated Camps Bay position and memorable views. It gives guests a peaceful boutique base while keeping them close to the beach, the city centre, Table Mountain, the Cape Peninsula and the Winelands.

It is a strong option for travellers wanting a stylish Cape Town stay with personal service, comfortable rooms, generous leisure spaces and help arranging activities. The setting feels intimate and residential, but still polished enough for a luxury city extension.

Stylish Rooms and Suites

The property offers a selection of room and suite categories, from the 30sqm Pool Room to 60sqm sea-facing suites and a 200sqm two-bedroom Penthouse. Options include terraces, balconies, ocean views, king-size beds, freestanding baths, entertainment systems, coffee machines and minibars.

Camps Bay Views and Leisure Spaces

Guests can enjoy an 18-metre swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sun deck, lounge areas and breakfast spaces, all designed around the property’s elevated coastal outlook. The Private Pool Suite also features its own terrace and private swimming pool.

  • A perfect location with perfect Service

The hotel offers a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean from its rooms. Breakfast is perfect. The staff is super friendly, helpful and cheerful. The hotel offers a special Service through the placement of Clarissa as tour guide. A great recommendation. We made a day trip with Clarissa to the wineries and up Table Mountain. Genial.

  • Absolute highlight at the beginning of our journey

We became aware of this hotel through a travel agency. Since this is our first time to Africa, we wanted to get advice. We wanted it quiet, personal service and a beautiful view. You can’t hit better. Breakfast is a highlight and very fresh, even the staff took great care of us and organized things for us. We plan to come back and will spend more time here at the hotel, as we had planned a lot of tours this time (Cape Peninsula tour highly recommended, we wouldn’t do Table Mountain again) and could therefore actually spend too little time at the hotel. Whoever books here does absolutely nothing wrong.

  • One of the best boutique hotels we ever visited 👏🏼🥂🍀

During our safari trip to Mashatu (Botswana) and Sabi Sands (South Africa) we also wanted to go to Cape Town for a few more days. Our travel agency recommended this boutique hotel. And we understand why. Very spacious (!) and modernly furnished suites with great views of the bay and mountains. Furthermore, super friendly and interested staff and management. Furthermore good pool, very wide coffee & tea assortment in the room and a bottle of complimentary white wine from the hotel . Breakfast here is also worth noting. Fresh fruit, salmon, very fresh sourdough bread, all kinds of cheese and delicious coffee! The service here is truly extraordinary! We will definitely be back again!👏👍☀️🇿🇦
