Sava Dunes, located in Tofo, is one of the few that can boast a remote location! As the name suggests, this eco-friendly lodge is situated on top of the impressive coastline dunes, overlooking the azure Indian Ocean. The simple, clean and comfortable rooms all operate on solar power and are adorned with creative décor. The main area is taken care of by the friendly and helpful lodge staff who also man the poolside bar which merges directly into the pool. A hotspot for dolphin and whale watching, Sava Dunes is the type of place you get to and bask for a good few days, soaking up the sun, salt and sand on an ultimate relaxation holiday.

“I loved the adventurous 4×4 ride through the dunes to get to this beautiful remote location. Save Dunes is completely solar and very eco-friendly. The rooms are not the biggest but charming with stunning views of the ocean, and I can only imagine a great location for spotting whales and dolphins in season. I also loved the public are that has great design and decor overlooking the ocean, and the pool that is merged into the bar… My kinda pool;-)!! Inge and Mark were fantastic hosts and really could not have done more to make our stay any better.
