The 8 luxurious rooms are canvased and thatched with a large deck that offers guests that all important game viewing from the comfort of your own space. There are indoor and outdoor showers, private plunge pools and the very unique star/day bed tower. Enjoy the star bed at night and listen to the nocturnal sounds of the African bush, a wonderful addition to your experience here.

Location

Due to its setting and offering a vantage point which is very unique, you can enjoy the game from the lodge itself. The location too offers the opportunity to enjoy game drives in the south of the park, which is generally undisturbed, or head up north where the game is plentiful. • Fabulous safari camp

The view from this special place is absolutely sensational, right across a huge open plain, with the bush in the distance. The game rides were riveting; we saw elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, zebra, impala, bullocks, wort hogs and even rarely seen wild pigs. Plus of course limitless beautiful birds and butterflies. Due to the skill of our brilliant guide, Alec, we were able to get really close to some of the animals.

  • Very Relaxing and Quiet

We stayed at Puku Ridge as one of three other lodges. It was excellent. Very peaceful with a great view from the rooms and social area over the plains. In comparison to other camps we found it much quieter and being in the park we saw far less other 4x4s when on drives. We had dramatic experiences being part of lion and wild dog hunting during the evening. The food was excellent and guiding very good standard especially with Alick.

  • South Luangwa Perfection

We have stayed at Puku Ridge 3 times now and each time we leave determined to return. It’s a magical place, as much so for the care and warmth received from the Puku team as for the South Luangwa landscape and wildlife. The wildlife is fabulous. South Luangwa has the advantage of being a big park, which I think provides a wide range of experiences – and Puku is in the park so you get to animals quickly. It also has a view over a waterhole and you can see animals as you dine and from your room.
