One of the smaller lodges around and only consisting of 6 tents you get a real sense of intimacy and privacy. The views from your bedroom deck are of the escarpment beyond and the river, it’s breath-taking. The tents offer a traditional safari feel, with a mix of being rustic yet luxurious. The walls are canvased, and the wooden doors open up, so you get a true sense of being deep in the bush when enjoying some down time in your very comfortable slice of heaven.

What a wonderful experience
Spent 4 nights at ABC’s Nyamatusi camp after spending a few night in Somalisa. The camp is very nice albeit individual tents are further away providing more intimacy. This is nice except when wild animals roam the grounds. We 8nitially had fears around security but those fears abated as time passe and we got more comfortable with the environment. Chef Charles prepared very good meals and adapted to the needs of his guests, whether it be preferences, allergies or more simply schedules. Our guide, Shingy, was phenomenal at finding animals and teaching us about the environment we were visiting.

Stunning destination and fantastic staff
The fantastic welcome I received on arrival set the tone for my stay at the property. The staff make you feel at home and my guide Alf was absolutely outstanding. As well as game drives (where we saw a lion get chased by an elephant!) I also did a walking safari and he made me feel incredibly comfortable leaving the vehicle and setting off on foot. Sitting with the wild dogs was the absolute highlight of my stay but I also have to mention the thrilling canoe safari, my heart was in my mouth the entire time, but I would definitely do it again!
