Mukwa is a small, intimate lodge situated right on the banks of the Zambezi River. It lies approximately 19 km from Livingstone town and the breathtaking natural world wonder, the Victoria Falls commonly known as Mosi oa Tunya by the locals. The lodge features private luxury suites, of which four are river-two are Island-facing (non-river-facing).
All the suites are air-conditioned with extra king-sized beds, a minibar, and a Nespresso coffee machine. All suites have a large bathroom with a choice of indoor or outdoor showers and a bath. The exclusive and private gardens for each suite include a decked area with sun loungers and a plunge pool.

Paradise on the Zambezi River, a first class resort in Zambia!
Mukwa River Lodge is a beautiful paradise situated on the banks of river Zambezi. I visited this luxurious resort with my sisters to celebrate a 60th birthday! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, with the outmost respect, the staff were friendly attentive and professional at all times. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious overlooking the river Zambezi. The food was out of this world saved with a personal touch from the resident chefs. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday or need to recharge. It was awesome 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. You need to visit to experience luxury and judge for your self. A fantastic experience!
The location , the very beautiful lodge , the attention to detail , the excellent food, the friendly smiling ,welcoming and efficient staff and last but not least the brilliant and caring manager Linda made our stay an unforgettable experience. We visited with 4 granddaughters and left with very fond memories and hope to revisit one day soon.

Paradise on the Zambezi River
If you’re looking for a place that has amazing beauty, welcoming staff with fabulous food and drink look no further. My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights there in July of 22 and can’t say enough about the experience. Every staff member went out of their way to make sure we were relaxed and well taken care of every moment. The buildings and the grounds had a level of thought and attention to detail that we have never experienced before. The food and drink served were comparable to that of a top restaurant in both taste and presentation. Thanks to Linda and her whole staff for a time we will never forget.
