Accommodation
Makuzi Beach Lodge has several types of rooms that are suited for everyone’s needs. It comprises of 3 superior chalets and 4 standard chalets. All three superior chalets are very private. One of these is located right on the beach while the other two and the standard chalets blend into the rocks and vegetation along the path to the beach. There is also a fully self-catered family cottage, with two separate en suite rooms, that is perfect for families or adult groups. All chalets have full bathrooms, a sitting area, a fan, kettle facilities, and a mini-bar fridge.
The Restaurant
To those who consider good food a priority, Makuzi Beach Lodge is the perfect choice. The restaurant benefits from a wide range of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and spices grown locally in the vegetable garden. They have a great variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, and they cater to any dietary needs. Their experienced restaurant staff do not disappoint when it comes to preparing delicious meals and providing excellent customer service.
Activities
At Makuzi Beach Lodge there is always something to do. In addition to the usual swimming and kayaking in the lake, there are several board games, card games, and books at the bar. I woke up in paradise
I woke up in paradise…literally, slept to the calm waves of lake Malawi hitting the rocks surrounding my chalet and woke up to the birds singing as the rays of sunshine kissed my face good morning. This is really truly paradise with 5 star customer service and beautiful , Crystal clear waters.

Tranquil
Its never always the buzz and booze that gets you at most resorts, its actually how much quieter it can be during the day and the night. Makuzi Beach Lodge is a place where such peace actually exist. The beach is well taken care of and the water could never be more clearer. it bought back some nostalgic feel from when I was a child in Zambia, going off to school field trips into the wild.
It’s so comfortable there, fans, kettle, to hot water for showering and clean toilets. There are no TVs in the rooms, but did you come for the TV or the experience, that is the thing we loved about it. The Place gave you a choice of dropping Technology forcing you to indulge in other more physical activities. granted there are not a lot of activities apart from swimming, canoeing but I am sure the owners will get creative go have a trip and experience it yourself, you will not be disappointed, i guarantee it.

Relaxation!!!
We stayed for 3 days at Makuzi and it was so relaxing. The staff is great and the restaurant serves fabulous food. The cabanas are comfy with lovely views. The beach is pristine and the lake water crystal clear. We had fun using the kayaks to explore around the lake.
