Team to visit in 2022
If you have ever dreamed of a private island with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water, Mumbo will perfectly fulfil this dream. The views, simply put, are stunning. The chalets are perched atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the blue lake and you can see the small colourful cichlid fish from your room! Whilst the rooms are rustic with a focus on eco-friendly construction, you have your own Robinson Crusoe style chalet with a comfy bed, en-suite bathroom with bucket shower and long drop loos. All in all, the perfect island escape!
Forget gold taps and WiFi get back to the classic African bush camp at Kuyenda. Built new each season, the four rooms are simple yet comfortable thatch rondavels with large beds, mosquito nets and a few simple furnishings. There is also an open en-suite bathroom with large safari shower and flushing toilets. With panoramic views of the surrounding bush you can watch as the game ambles by camp.
Staying at Kuyenda is much more like visiting family than staying in a lodge. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere is mirrored in the kitchen with great home cooked food. From hearty porridge in the morning before you head off to huge buffets of salads, pies, quiches, pastas and fresh fruit. In the evening, you have a 3 course meal which is both filling and tasty.
