  • For those who want a back to nature experience

If you want 5-star luxury or boutique hotel type experience this is not for you. However, the camps are 5-star bush camping – the tent is spacious with carpet on the floor, extra-large comfy beds and the decor lovely neutral hues. The attached open-air bathroom with flushing toilet and bucket shower complete the bush camp experience. Luke and Kyle are wonderful hosts and Kyles guiding is exceptional. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The camps are based in two beautiful but contrasting locations on the Lower Zambezi which in itself is a very special place in Zambia. I can’t wait to go back!

  • Hold on tight and enjoy the ride

Leave your expectations at home. Trust Tusk and Mane to look after you and you will not regret a thing. You are nature’s guest, and the team will show you what Africa is about. From the tiniest detail on the bush floor, to the unrecognizable and familiar birds and animals you will learn so much enjoy it all. 530am starts are not a problem as you will have fallen asleep watching the stars and listening to hippos and Lions serenade you! Truly still buzzing. Only one issue with this place- having to leave!

  • Quite simply the best safari we have ever done

We spent four nights with Tusk and Mane in the Lower Zambezi. It was an extraordinary and wonderful experience. The camping is exceptionally civilized, everything is very well organized, and the team are so friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful. And, on top of all that, due to Kyle’s incredible skill and knowledge we had some breathtaking experiences on the canoe and walking safaris as well as game drives including night drives. We saw a sea of crocodiles devour a hippo carcass, three male lions playing together, a leopard and her very young cub, elephants right by our tent, a huge array of bird life including an eagle owl and so much more. I really cannot recommend Tusk and Mane highly enough.
