Bath with a view
After a day of either walking, game drives or fishing it’s so welcoming to come back to camp and look forward to some down time before dinner. Run yourself a bubble bath and soak whilst the sun sets and watch as the night comes to life with the nocturnal creatures. The bath is located outside and offers you incredible peaceful views over Lake Kariba…why not add a glass of bubbles to this and celebrate another day in Africa.
Sanyati Gorge
Just a short boat ride away, across the lake you will come to the gorgeous Sanyati Gorge. Other than the usual activities on offer this is a great opportunity to experience something different in the area. It is unspoilt beauty, and if you are an avid bird watcher then this is a must, the birdlife is prolific. You may also catch a few antelope around and it’s also a popular spot for the anglers. You can roam peacefully through the cliffs and enjoy some peace and quiet, capture the memories and be blown away by the picturesque spot.
Delicious cuisine
This will be a highlight of your stay…so much is revolved around food and you will find yourself always be looking forward to the next meal or snack. At Changa Safari Camp they use fresh ingredients and pack their dishes with flavour and colour. Meals are generally served al fresco in the main area on the deck, all whilst you overlook the lake shore. They keep you guessing with dinner, as every night there is a different location, adding an element of suspense to your dining experience.

Daughter and Fiance visit
Three nights in the camp with six couples who were ravenous every morning after fantastic fishing expeditions… the breakfast staff were up to the feeding frenzy challenge.. and our days continued in the same vein! The staff were super attentive to our every need, and the food was excellent. Game drives and walks were fantastic and our guides so interesting and well informed. All the staff should be recommended – great attitudes and smiling faces at all times. We could not recommend Changa enough!

We came to Changa having stayed at the Hide the year before so we knew what standards to expect. Changa is simply stunning. The accommodation is fabulous, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the food is outstanding and the wine selection is good.

Honeymoon bliss – Sit by the pool and watch the elephants and hippos walk by
My husband and I spent 3 magical nights at Changa and 3 nights at it’s sister camp, The Hide as part our our honeymoon. A stay at Changa perfectly compliments a stay at the Hide and we were really glad we did both! At Changa we wanted to relax and take things a bit slower, so opted to spend afternoons fishing from the bank of Lake Kariba (we caught so many fish – breem mostly – which we ate).
