Baraza Tours
Rates/Bookings

As though it was taken right out of a movie, this resort is an Arabian splendour. It has elegant dramatic arches that grace its passages in addition to the delicate handmade Swahili furniture and luxurious fabrics that feature in all the rooms and common areas. With services that include, baby sitting, a gym, business centre and tennis court, they make a grand attempt to cater to all their guests’ needs. The hospitality is just as impressive. So, if you want to walk in the shoes of a Sultan for a little bit, the Baraza experience is definitely the one you should try.

Beach Top 30

White sands, bright blue water, it’s not hard to see why this was named one of the top 30 beaches in not just Africa, but the world. This place has to be one of the reasons why Zanzibar is so famous for its beauty and judging by their Travellers Choice award, why this Island is considered to be such a great holiday destination.

Arabian Nights

The minute I arrived, Baraza had me feeling like I had stepped into the Aladdin movie. There is a gorgeous fusion of Arabic, Swahili and Indian designs which display Zanzibar’s heritage dating back to the Sultans. With pieces that include hand carved white stone and beautiful antiques, they offer unparalleled standards of luxury. From what I saw, everything is designed to resemble a modern interpretation of a Sultan’s palace. With private cabanas by the pool and beach, an abundance of food and an array of choices at meal times, top class service with servers tending to your every need, not one too big or too small to assist with, it’s hard not to feel like royalty here (Surely this must be how the Sultans lived!).

Biggest Spa in Zanzibar (Rhyme time)

It has the biggest spa in Zanzibar, with a large lap pool and, get this, underwater music! There are also a wide range of treatment rooms. This spa is an oasis, a true haven for relaxation. If there are children in the main pool, this is a great place to get away from it (and them) all. This amazing spa experience continues even when you’re leaving. You can have a shower here after having checked out of the room, and relax while waiting to leave.

  • Luxury Redefined

My stay in mid-December was, for me, a revelation….from the moment I arrived and was received with such genuine warmth, until leaving – (sobbing could be heard en route to the airport….) My villa was exquisite and felt as though I was residing in my own private paradise. Every part of the villa, from has been designed with you and I in mind. The bed is magnificent, as is the bathroom – big enough to hold a cocktail party in….which I am pretty sure, if you ask, could be arranged. The team (feels more like family) looking after you are magnificent.

  • Luxurious relaxing beach resort

We had a very enjoyable stay in our beachfront villa, which was spacious, very well appointed and had a private plunge pool and reserved spot on the beach. Biggest decisions were where to take an afternoon nap – bed, inside day bed, outside daybed or lounge chairs and also which cocktail to enjoy.

  • Beautiful and relaxing holiday

Baraza was exactly what the family needed after a great safari. The ocean view villas are stunning, with lots of seating areas inside and out. The food is delicious, varied, and plentiful as are all the drinks. The staff were all really friendly, cheerful, helpful and attentive to any special requests or requirements. The beach and pool areas were lovely to relax around, and the water sports staff again were great, making sure we fitted in all the activities we wanted to do around the tides and days we were there. Thanks to all the staff and managers for a wonderful stay!
