Location
Situated on a 1km white sandy beach in the Bazaruto Archipelago Marine National Park, you have arrived in paradise. Surrounded by dunes, the lodge is slightly elevated which offers guests incredible sunset views across the ocean. As to the lodge is on an island just off the coastline, guests can enjoy and explore the nearby reefs or leave the comfort of their homely villa and head out on a picnic at one of the many spots around the bays.
Activities
There is an array of activities the whole family can enjoy. Dive or snorkel the gorgeous reefs which are a short boat ride away, sail on a traditional dhow, or head out on a deep-sea fishing excursion. A must is a trip is to Paradise Island or Pansy Island, indulge in a private shade and relish in the beauty around you. There are also a number of activities to enjoy around the lodge…dune climbing, kayaking and cultural encounters.

Each of the villas is the perfect blend of a modern style with a traditional African touch. They are light, bright and airy, overlooking the bay which offer some of the most gorgeous views of the turquoise waters form your private deck. Best trip in a long time!
I had been to Azura before and decided to go again on our honeymoon. It was beyond expectation once again. Great food, friendly staff and our own personal host (if you get Hessane consider yourself blessed), attention to detail, great cocktails, beautiful stargazing at night, the diving was incredible – oh and the new peri peri beach bar! I could spend every summers day there. Thanks for a great honeymoon!!!

Honeymoon heaven
This is a magical place. It truly met our hopes for an African beach paradise, even given how expensive it is. The seas are a beautiful aqua and usually very calm, there are long stretches of deserted white sand and the beach villas are luxurious but have a natural feel. But two things in particular stand this hotel apart. First, the staff are wonderfully friendly and make you feel so special. Your host looks after your every need and serves you at every meal, so you can get to know them a bit, which we loved.
