  • Incredible Flora, Fauna, and People

“My husband and I had an amazing 4-night stay at Amanzi Camp. Our tent was extraordinarily spacious, with an incredible view over the river tributary, including some amazing sunrises. And, somehow, we managed be the only guests there at the time, which was extra-special for us. Robert (our guide), and Lameck (our guide-in-training), were ready and waiting as soon as we landed, and they then spent the next 4 days showing us around and teaching us all about the Lower Zambezi – the flora, the fauna, and the people. John (our host) was always there to welcome us with wash towels, coffee-making instructions, and any drinks we wanted, at any time. Biggie (the camp manager) always made us feel right at home. And James (the cook/chef) always served us delicious meals, even when we were late returning from safaris. Everyone went out of their way to take care of us, always”. Date of stay: September 2024

  • Small, personal and authentic!

“This small, intimate camp was the perfect spot for us to spend the last couple of days of our Zambian safari. Although the food is not at the level of some of the other luxury bush camps, the rooms, service, on-demand scheduling and expert guiding more than make up for it. The rooms are huge and well-appointed with a stocked mini-bar and a whiskey station. Great room to have at the end of a trip when your wife needs more space:) The service provided by John at the bar and dining room and the guiding provided by Spencer and Clement were top notch. Spence and Clem were incredibly knowledgeable and extremely personable. Spencer really knows his stuff! Make sure to take a boat ride with Clement on one of your afternoons and enjoy your sundowner on the water. Finally, what makes this place unique in the bush, is their flexible dining schedule. Unlike other camps that serve dinner at a specific time at a communal table, you can eat your meals whenever you want and have a private meal with your friends. I highly recommend Amanzi!” Date of stay: August 2024

  • Amanzi the Amazing!

“The art and passion for tracking and guiding is obviously deep in the heat and soul of the head guide Robert and “branch manager”/ fishing guide, Clement. The respect they showed for the animals and the land, as well as the knowledge of their movements, allowed the animals to remain comfortable in their natural environment whilst allowing us to view them without congestion at “peak hour” from other camps. The game viewing was amazing with a great variety of the bigger exciting animals as well as many birds, primates, mammals, antelope etc”. Date of stay: August 2024
