Ilala Lodge is one of the larger accommodations on offer in the area with up to 73 rooms and situated right near the Victoria Falls. It is the perfect getaway for larger groups or families and as it is only an 8-minute walk from the Falls this is set in a great location if you are coming specifically to see one of the seven natural wonders of the world. You are close to the historical sites, the town centre and a number of activities that are available daily at the Falls. With so much to do and see you will have your days filled with excitement.
Friendly Staff
From the minute you arrive you are greeted with smiles and warm hospitality from the staff. The service during your stay is very personable and even though the lodge is larger than most you don’t ever get the sense that you are forgotten about. The staff are there to ensure all your needs are met and to advise and guide you to make the most out of your stay. As it is a family run business and has been going for years, this is evident during your stay, you really get a sense of that ‘home away from home’ feel.
Luxurious Accommodation
Although this is more of a hotel than individual rooms, the luxurious accommodation has been designed to offer privacy to all its guests. Private balconies on the upper floored rooms and verandas with access to the gardens on the lower floor. Here you can enjoy as some of the wildlife graze on the lawn and sometimes you may even catch a few elephants coming onto the grounds. The rooms offer a comfortable and laid-back feel with a lovely touch of Africa throughout.
Locations
The biggest attraction to the area is of course the Victoria Falls and with the lodge being so close to them you are in the right spot if this is what you have come to see. Not only can you enjoy the wildlife around, even within the grounds of the hotel itself, but the activities that the Falls offer, and the history and culture around, there really is something for everyone. Whether you wish to enjoy a day out enjoying the scenery, heading out to check out the wildlife or are a bit of an adrenaline junkie, you will be kept very busy during your stay here.

A Gem
This is the first time we stayed at Ilala lodge and what a fantastic place. All the staff are so very friendly, and the attention to detail in all aspects of the lodge are impecable. The room was clean and spacious. The gardens are well manicured. I would highly recommend this lodge to families, holidaymakers and business people it a great place to relax. Congratulations to the management and all staff.

Perfect for the falls
I stayed here with family for 2 nights recently……just looking at the hotel’s own description above….pretty well sums it up.
The rooms are clean and have clearly been modernized recently…nice bathroom fittings, new carpet, USB plugs. Comfortable bed, and opening onto immaculately groomed lawn, with the bush beyond. Buck, warthog and mongoose roamed while we were there (no monkeys, fortunately).

Perfect Stay
We really enjoyed our stay here, we had three nights and found our room comfortable. The bathroom is quite large and the bed was comfy. The veranda outside the room is great to sit and relax and enjoy the views especially when the animals wander through the hotel garden such as elephants, bushbucks and warthogs. There’s lots of birdlife too.
The staff are brilliant always happy to help with anything, always friendly and welcoming. Will be recommending our friends and family stay here.
