Welcome to Zambia! It’s the start of your tour of a lifetime. Today you will land at Lusaka International Airport, where you catch a connecting flight to Mfuwe Airport. From here you will be transferred in a private charter plane to Kulandila Bush Camp, your home for the next 3 nights.
South Luangwa National Park, one of the last great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometres (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness and Kulandila offers the perfect gateway. This national park has been visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world since its creation in 1972 and is nicknamed the Valley of Leopards.
Today you will be transferred to your next accommodation in South Luangwa. Robin Pope’s Tena Tena camp will be your home for the next 4 nights of your tour. Situated in a totally different part of the park, named the Nsefu sector, Tena Tena enjoy fantastic game viewing in and around the camp.
This seasonal camp offers comfortable safari tents that allow the fresh afternoon breeze to cool you during your siesta, as well as fully kitted en suite bathrooms with outdoor showers so you never have to miss a glimpse of the wilderness.
This morning you will be transferred back to Mfuwe Airport for your flight out of Zambia and into Lilongwe, Malawi. Here you will be met by your private vehicle and guide to transfer you to the boat collection point for Blue Zebra Island Lodge on Lake Malawi.
Enjoy the exceptional service and food at this well run lodge, along with your gorgeous lake view chalet. The spacious chalets boast large en suite bathrooms as well as their own private deck. The rooms are spaced far apart from one another so you can enjoy total privacy amidst the forestry of this wild island.
Today you will hop aboard the Blue Zebra boat again for your water transfer back to the main land. Your Crafted Africa guide will be waiting for you to transfer you to the fabulous Liwonde National Park.
Positioned right on the edge of the mighty Shire River is Kuthengo Camp, your home for the next 3 nights. Experience the spectacular wildlife and birdlife of this park while enjoying the superb service and meals that go hand in hand with any Robin Pope camp. Spend your mornings and evenings on game drives, boat safaris or walking safaris to spot lion, cheetah, wild dog, elephant, black rhino, hippo, buffalo, sable, bush pigs and more.
Today you will wave goodbye to Malawi as you are transferred across the border to Tete, Mozambique. From here you will catch a charter flight directly to Gorongosa National Park airstrip where you will be met by your guide from Wild Camp. This will be your home for the next 3 nights.
Rescued from the brink of devastation, Gorongosa National Park is a fantastic conservation success story with it being completely repopulated by big game such as lions, wild dogs and elephants. Enjoy your time in this rustic camp and enjoy the total peace of the wilderness. Completely unspoiled and unpopulated, it feels like you have the park to yourself where even self-drives are not permitted.
You will wind up your adventure on the stunning coastline of southern Mozambique. After your morning game-viewing activity you will be transferred back to the Gorongosa airstrip to catch your charter flight to Vilanculos. Here you will be met and transferred to AsDunas lodge, your home for the last 4 nights of your tour.
Situated in an unspoiled beach paradise, wake up to the sounds of nature and birds chirping, with the Indian Ocean lapping against the shore. The lodge has a range of activity options to suit individuals, couples, families and friends. Take a gentle horse-back ride or explore the underwater world by snorkeling or scuba diving. Work those biceps canoeing or kitesurfing, plus experience the majesty of the humpback whales on a whale watching or deep sea fishing trip!
All good things must come to an end and today you will be transferred back to Vilanculos Airport for your flight back home.
