Day 1-3

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Tafika

On your arrival at Lusaka International Airport, you will connect with your local flight to Mfuwe Airport. After your landing you will be met and greeted by Remote Africa Safaris and transferred to Tafika Camp, located in the northern part of the wild and wonderful South Luangwa National Park. You will spend the first two nights of your tour here.

Day 3-4

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Chikoko Trails

After your glorious two nights at Tafika, you will be transferred by game drive to your next spot – Tafika’s sister, Chikoko Trails Camp, Embrace the adventure as you explore the area around this rugged and charming bush camp where the creatures are more wild and free. Enjoy game drives and walking safaris during your one night stay here at Chikoko.

Day 4-5

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Big Lagoon

Onwards we go as you find yourself being transferred to the next Remote Africa sister, Big Lagoon. With just 3 chalets this remote and intimate camp boasts a truly personal touch and sense of serenity like no other. Offering just walking safaris led by guides of an exceptional standard, lace up those boots and set out on foot to find everything from the biggest elephant to the tiniest elephant shrew. Enjoy this simple and authentic experience for the next night of your tour.

Day 5-6

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Tafika

Back to Tafika we go for the next night of your tour, head out on an activity or simply while away the afternoon at the lodge watching time go by in the wilderness in one of their hides or overlooking the beautiful river in front of camp. You will find utter tranquility here at Tafika so use today to relax and unwind before your head northwards to your next destination.

Day 6-7

North Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Mwaleshi

Today you will make your way onwards and northwards to North Luangwa National Park. This remote and unspoiled park boasts fantastic wildlife and birdlife. With just two camps in the whole park you will have the place to yourself to explore and experience the wilderness. One of these camps, Mwaleshi, will be where you will be spending your next night. The focus here in North Luangwa is on walking safaris, the best way to experience this unique and hidden gem!

Day 7-9

North Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Takwela

To fully experience North Luangwa, it only seems right that you visit both of the two camps found here! Both run by Remote Africa Safaris, the second North Luangwa camp is Takwela, where you will be spending the next two nights of your tour. Again, with a focus on walking safaris, you will experience the area with some of the best guides in the business. 

Day 9-11

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Kulandila

Today you will be head back to South Luangwa National Park to the southern part. Kulandila Camp will be your home for the next two nights so settle in, take your time and enjoy your surroundings. This new camp on the block has made a big name for itself offering a luxurious yet authentic experience. Head out on game drives or walking safaris and bask in the beauty of the wild and its inhabitants.

Day 11-14

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Sungani Lodge

After your stay at Kulandila, you will today be transferred to Sungani, a luxury wilderness property that has been designed with a focus on privacy and relaxation in the bush. The lodge is built on an elevated deck with all its structures edged by a huge lagoon with indigenous trees. As a family, they are dedicated and focused on restoring and protecting African wilderness while delivering an exciting, authentic, and memorable experience for their guests. You will spend the last three nights of your tour here.

Day 14

End of Itinerary

Departure Day. End of your tour! A representative from Sungani will make your way back to Mfuwe Airport. At Mfuwe you will catch your flight to Lusaka for your onward journey.
