South Luangwa National Park | Time + Tide Kakuli

Time + Tide Kakuli in South Luangwa boasts a wonderful location on an elevated stretch of riverbank, overlooking a wide grazing lawn that follows the Luangwa River until it meets its confluence with the Luwi. There are four walk-in Meru style tents, with thatched roofs, cosy beds, bedside tables, simple wardrobes and large shady verandas.

Activities consist of morning and afternoon game drives, Kakuli also really encourages walking safaris and you can easily combine many camps with these excursions, stopping and staying a few nights at a range of different lodges and camps, in this case Chinzombo is your next stop.

Day 3-5

South Luangwa National Park | Time + Tide Chinzombo

Luxurious yet also elegantly natural, Time + Tide Chinzombo is tucked into the shade of ancient trees on a bend of the Luangwa River. Six beautiful villas combine a modern architectural feel with natural materials such as leather, reeds and canvas. Each beautifully situated villa boasts its own private plunge pool and is situated on an elevated deck that boasts views of the tranquil river.

Venture into one of the most game rich areas of the national park with our award-winning guiding team. The South Luangwa is renowned for its world-class predator action, with especially strong sightings of the elusive leopard. Explore the region’s diverse habitats with game drives, safari walks and boat cruises (seasonal). You will spend 2 nights here.

Day 5-9

Lower Zambezi National Park | Zambezi Grande

Perched on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River just minutes from the Lower Zambezi National Park sits Zambezi Grande. You will spend the next 4 nights of your trip here.

This newly renovated lodge offers upmarket travellers a stylish and comfortable stay in spacious villas overlooking the river and neighbouring Zimbabwe beyond. With highly experienced guides, Zambezi Grande offers fantastic game drives and walking safaris within the park to discover wildlife such as lions, leopards, wild dog, buffalo, elephant and exceptional birdlife. Despite not being inside the park, the lodge gets plenty of visitors from hippos and crocodiles bathing in the river in front, to wandering ellies looking for some tasty lunch-time trees.
