After collecting your luggage, your driver/guide will transfer you to Zomba Forest Lodge. Take a deep breath of fresh air and enjoy a digital detox during your 2 night stay in the forested paradise of Zomba.
Set off on long or short hikes through Zomba Forest or Zomba Plateau to beautiful waterfalls and stunning view points before a well deserved home-cooked lunch and lazy afternoon reading under the shade of an ancient tree.
As your tour continues to get more exciting, your driver/guide will today transfer you to Mvuu Lodge situated on a flat plain overlooking the mighty Shire River with great views across the river right within Liwonde National Park.
Spend four nights on the Shire River exploring the conservation success that is Liwonde National Park on land and on the river, from its thriving populations of black rhinos and cheetahs to the endless bird species. The perfect place to experience Malawi’s flourishing wildlife.
We will now take you to the fabulous Makokola Retreat, an beachy paradise getaway standing majestically on the shores of Lake Malawi. You will spend the next 2 nights of your tour here enjoying an array of activities from numerous water-sports to golf, tennis, spa treatments, and lots more. Take some time out of your day to explore the local market or just lounge by the pool or on the beach, cooling off in the waters from the warm African sunshine.
Today you will be transferred along the Lake Malawi coastline up towards Senga Bay where you will catch a boat to your island paradise, Blue Zebra Island Lodge. The next 2 nights of your tour will be spent here where you can experience ultimate serenity in this wild and unspoiled environment. Take a hike around or over the island with their wilderness guide who will teach you all about the flora and fauna you will find along the way, including the exceptional birdlife on the island (the island is even the seasonal home to nesting African Pittas).
Enjoy the endless water-sport activities and the gorgeous infinity pool at the lodge, as well as their wonderful island spa for a full body hot stone massage.
Today we will cross the border into Zambia. After your boat transfer to the mainland, you will be transferred across the border into. Zambia to Nkwali Camp, South Luangwa National Park. Set downriver from the main entrance of the park, you can access the park by boat across the river allowing you a private entrance to this exquisite wildlife haven. Experience the wonders the bush has to offer and witness unforgettable moments with completely wild animals and their habitat. You will spend the next two nights of your tour here.
Staying in South Luangwa, today you will be transferred to your next lodge, Nsefu Camp. The oldest camp in the park, Nsefu is full of history and is located in a wild and unspoiled area of the park. Witness the very best of wildlife viewings in the exclusivity of the Nsefu sector, with fewer lodges around you can enjoy more private sightings without the hustle and bustle of lots of other tourists and vehicles, accompanied by your world class Robin Pope safari guide.
Today you will head back to Nkwali Camp for the last two nights of your tour. Wind down and take it easy here after a whirlwind of activities and adventures.
Departure Day. Alas, all good things must come to an end. You will be transferred to Mfuwe airport for your flight to Lusaka and your onward flight home.
