Day 3-7

Today you will make your way to your next destination, Kafue National Park. Your home for the next four nights of tour will be Musekese, where you will experience the best that Zambia’s largest national park has to offer. Cruise along the Kafue River as elephants come down to drink and frolic in the water, or hop on a game drive vehicle and trundle into the depths of the wilderness to find some big cats or ‘lifer’ birds. With just 4 rooms, Musekese offers an intimate and authentic bush feel with personalised service and memorable moments.

Day 7-9

Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia | Chula Island Camp

Today you move onto your next destination, Lower Zambezi National Park where you will be homed at Chula Safari Camp. A rustic tented camp far from the toils of daily life, Chula immerses you in the wonder of nature. It it situated overlooking the mighty Zambezi River of which you will have an un-hindered view from your safari tent which is made up of three clear mesh panels at the front and sides allowing you to see all around you. The warm gentle breeze filters through and you can keep an eye on any visitors that may appear during your afternoon siesta or nighttime snooze!

Day 9-11

Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia | Kutali Camp

Moving on to Chula’s sister, Kutali Camp, you will stay here for the next two nights of tour. Situated under the shade of a gorgeous Winterthorn forest, Kutali offers a similar set up as Chula, just in a different area. Be sure to try out some walking safaris during your stay at these camps as their guides are specialised in the art of on-foot game tracking. If you fancy a break from game-viewing and fancy getting a little active, hit the water and have a go at Tiger fishing, the thrill of hooking your first Tiger fish will stay with you forever as you fight against the razor-toothed African piranha only to set it free to carry on its life in the warm waters of the Zambezi.

Day 11-14

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Kafunta River Lodge

Off we go to the next stop, South Luangwa National Park. Upon arrival at Mfuwe airport your guide will transfer you to Kafunta River Lodge, where you will stay for the next three nights of your tour. The fabulous Kafunta offers more refined accommodation and is based in the southern area of the park, famed for its terrific wildlife numbers. The lodge is set in front of a waterhole with grand open plains sweeping before you, an excellent set up to find animals moseying up to the main deck for a thirst quenching drink. Admire them right from your private deck, their refreshing swimming pool or from your table as you dine on their sumptuous meals al-fresco. Be sure to check out the breeding colonies of the migratory Carmine Bee-eaters near the lodge around October, November.

Day 14-16

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Three Rivers Camp

Your next and final stop on this tour will be at Kafunta’s sibling camp, Three River Camp. Set on the confluence of three rivers that run through the South Luangwa National Park in the rainy season, this camp is tucked away from any other lodges or camps, offering a personal experience on your game viewing activities. There’ll be no fighting for a view or the sounds of dozens of vehicles charging through the bush, it’ll feel like you have the park to yourself. One of the most exciting things about this camp is that each room has it’s very own star-bed. At no extra charge, you can freely go up onto the raised platform attached to your room where you will find a fully made bed and mosquito net so that you can sleep under the stars and be lulled to sleep by the nocturnal sounds of the African wilderness.
