Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is arguably the most famous waterfall on the continent. Named locally the smoke that thunders there is a spectacular view from the Zimbabwean side with plenty of activities in the town to keep you occupied for a few nights here.

From adrenaline-fuelled white water rafting and bungee jumping off the railway bridge to the historical charm of the train dining and museums. Then there is the national park that surrounds the waterfall, which has a great density of wildlife as well as the falls themselves. With millions of gallons pouring over the edge a minute over 100 m into a chasm below you can see the spray the locals thought maybe smoke for miles.
