Perhaps one of the most famous of all the national parks, 15,000 square kilometers of lush wetland sourced by Southern Africa’s 3rd largest river and is the largest inland delta. Famous for the water and land activities and perhaps some of Africa’s best wildlife viewing. Dotted with islands and a network of shallow reed beds and channels. Gliding silently through the channels is an excellent way to get up and close to the animals at eye level and can be spectacular for getting close to birds as well as hippos, crocodiles, elephants drinking as well as the lechwe and waterbuck adapted to living in permanent water.
